Abstract:	In this text, we analyse a number of bilingual lexical
correspondences from a translated text in order to discuss
several theoretical models of word meaning for their
applicability and descriptive adequacy. In the second part,
we propose some methods of automatic lexical tagging
and seme discovery given a word meaning model that is
                restricted to atomic semantic features.
