I recently finished my PhD Thesis at the research group AI/Cognition (KI/Kognition) at the computer science department of Technical University of Munich. The group is part of the chair for Theoretical Informatics and Foundations of Artificial Intelligence (TIKI), headed by Prof. Wilfried Brauer. The group's current main foci are on multiagent technology, artificial neural networks, and knowledge representation.

My interests are focused on artificial neural networks and the modeling of biologically inspired artificial neural network (ANN) models for spatio-temporal information processing. In cooperation with the Cognitive Informatics group at the Institute for Medical Psychology I'm designing hierachically structured ANN's for the representation and prediction of spatio-temporal patterns.

In November 2006 my PhD Thesis has been accepted.

I've been the Co-Coordinator of the EU excelence program nEUro-IT.net from September 2006 to November 2006 and continued this job for half a year on a voluntary basis

In 2007 I had a post-doc post doc position within the CoTeSys Cluster of Excellence and migrated to the Ludwigs-Maximilian Universität München Department for General and Experimental Psychology.

My current research interests are modeling visual attention, visual working memory and still motion processing and prediction
